Rarely do I walk away from a restaurant and say, “That was awesome”- but that was my experience at Sky Blue Sky. 🙂

My friend and I went there on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and work session. We found ourselves a cozy booth, got some tea in homey ceramic mugs, and ordered some fantastic sandwiches for only $4.99 each! I had the “Art of Almost” – brie cheese and avocado with a sweet and spicy mustard on sweet French bread. My friendly sandwich-maker cheerfully added some marinated portabello mushrooms on request. It was tasty, fresh, and filling.

There is a great list of sandwiches– all made to order and pressed warm in a panini press. All the combinations sound winning. For example, the “Casino Queen: Slices of smoked turkey topped with bacon, avocado and onions cooked in balsamic vinegar.  We put a little mayonnaise on the sandwich and use our whole wheat or honey-nut whole wheat bread” or the “Sonny Feeling: Slices of black forest ham topped with Asian pear, cheddar cheese and honey mustard.  We put it on our cranberry cream cheese bread for added good feeling.” There were also homemade soups and some baked goods to round out your meal.

We stayed for 3 hours and our servers were still cheerful when we left. I really enjoyed myself and my sandwich! Sky Blue Sky gets a big thumbs up from me.
