I don’t claim to be a big burrito buff. But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised entering the joint on Bloor to find the fresh toppings, the friendly service, and an overall price that was pretty easy on the wallet (I got a small bean burrito, which came out to under $6 and was a decent meal).

It did SOUND better than it actually tasted (i.e. the ‘cilantro lime rice’ pretty much just tasted like rice), but there were several toppings, including fresh cilantro (the guacamole was extra).

Mine was perfectly cooked so the tortilla was crispy-yet-soft, and the inside was warm enough to melt the cheese but not hot enough to burn. It felt healthy and balanced as a meal- not greasy or heavy like Mexican food can sometimes be. There were also quesadillas and tacos to try for next time.

Not a bad lunch option, I’d say!
